Alie was born and bred into the centerpiece of Boston’s craning and rigging industry. Shaughnessy & Ahern Truck-Men and Riggers in South Boston was established by his Great Grandfather, in 1916. Alie took his first footsteps in his ancestor’s shoes washing company trucks as a kid.
With eagerness he absorbed the multi facets of labor and business at Shaughnessy and Ahern. He worked towards and earned licenses to operate multiple types of complexed heavy equipment, craning, rigging, sales, customer satisfaction, efficiency, safety, respecting authority and successful leadership. These practices come instinctively to Alie and support his performance to effectively manage and efficiently achieve a range of goals and diverse challenges.

Alie's view in regards to teamwork; “when groups or participants are working to achieve goals and find solutions, cooperative and coordinated efforts such as leadership, is crucial for securing growth and development”
Alie explains “people will receive identical information however each comprehends, is impacted, and decides differently.” When most people consider differences to be conflicts, Shaughnessy see’s diversity. To respect and recognize the right to his/her opinions,. wants, needs and culture is an example of Alie’s consideration and concern for Quincy’s businesses, neighborhoods, and residents.
